• Performance Engineering Kobatera has extensive experience in Performance Engineering. Performance Engineering generally falls into two categories, issue identification and performance assurance. We have deep experience in both aspects. Issue identification is typically an urgent need to resolve a production issue. This involves utilizing tools to measure component performance and gather detailed technical information, such as thread or heap dumps. It requires expert abilities to analyze the collected information and identify the underlying issues.
  
  Performance assurance is the methodical practice of verifying that systems can satisfy performance requirements before they are deployed to production. This requires inclusion into the software development process, similar to functional testing. It involves requirements gathering, script writing, testing, analysis, and recommendations. We can perform these functions for an organization for the short term, or help a company set up their own performance assurance procedures and best practices.

This may be as extensive as developing an architecture that integrates with numerous mainframe and middleware systems to provide real-time data to secure Internet sessions, or as simple as choosing a platform for a standalone self-service system.
  
  
• Enterprise Architecture We work with companies to define a coherent and consistent enterprise architecture that will achieve the organization's goals. This can be as complex as developing an overall enterprise architecture strategy dealing with hundreds of systems, or simply contributing portions of a strategy that deals with the use of Internet technologies in both internal and external facing systems in the organization.
  
  
• Software Development Project Oversight Far too many software development projects fail to deliver their promised results, and many never deliver any at all. Frequently, these projects could be successful if a few best practices are introduced or adhered to. We draw on our extensive software development experience and industry best practices to provide software development project oversight services for large development projects, both Internet and non-Internet related. We do not manage the project itself, but review all aspects of the project, its goals, structure, staffing, management, etc. to provide recommendations on addressing deficiencies. We provide oversight for projects that are run by internal staff, external staff, or a mixture of both internal and external resources.
